Will Liverpool manage to secure a striker and a defender before the market closes? The “Reds” have been interested in Alexander Isak and Marc Guéhi. After an initial offer of £110 million was rejected, the club has maintained a cautious stance. With the possible signing of Nick Woltemade by Newcastle United, the pieces could start to fall into place for Isak to arrive at Anfield, as long as Liverpool improves its offer.

Nick Woltemade Analysis

Regarding Guéhi, negotiations with Crystal Palace have been ongoing for weeks. With the team qualifying for the UEFA Conference League, agreements could accelerate, with a possible deal around £35 million.

Will Newcastle keep Isak and what can they do before the market closes? Isak’s situation is the big question mark. The signing of Woltemade could unlock Isak’s departure, but it’s still complicated. In addition, Newcastle needs to reinforce their attack, especially after the departure of Callum Wilson.

If Woltemade signs and the signings of Yoane Wissa or Jorgen Strand Larsen are finalized, this could open the door for Isak’s departure, although Liverpool would have to match Newcastle’s valuation. There are still obstacles for Isak to move to Liverpool before the deadline, although they are not insurmountable.

Arsenal’s interest in Hincapié

• Man City defender Manuel Akanji is a player to watch, as Galatasaray, Crystal Palace, AC Milan, and Bayer Leverkusen have expressed interest. City will accept offers of around £15 million.
• Soungoutou Magassa, defensive midfielder for Monaco, is close to signing for West Ham. Magassa, 21, came through Monaco’s youth system and will now move to London for around €20 million.
• Villarreal is negotiating the transfer of Ruben Vargas from Sevilla for €7 million, following the expected departure of Yeremy Pino to Palace for €30 million. Meanwhile, Villarreal continues to look for another forward.
• Dodi Lukebakio, Sevilla forward, is highly valued among Premier League clubs and could be on the move, as his club is willing to let him go.
• Rayados continues to look for a forward, with Borja Mayoral of Getafe at the top of the list of candidates. If the signing of Mayoral does not materialize, Rayados will consider other options: Julian Carranza, Peter Musa, Rafael Navarro, and even Real Madrid star James Rodriguez.
