In an exciting final of the LIV Golf League, Jon Rahm and his team Legion XIII defeated Bryson DeChambeau and the Crushers in a close tiebreaker. The competition took place on Sunday, with Legion XIII and the Crushers tied at 20 under par at The Cardinal at Saint John’s. The Stinger team from South Africa fell behind, finishing at 12 under par in this three-team final. Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton birdied the last two holes of the regular round, and then secured the victory in the playoff with a series of birdies on the second extra hole, surpassing DeChambeau and Paul Casey. Rahm holed a 6-foot putt, while Hatton secured the win with a short putt.
Rahm added that he trusted his short game skills for the tiebreaker, knowing that both players are strong in the wedge game. Caleb Surratt, former Tennessee player, led Legion XIII with an outstanding round of 64.Tyrrell and I started a bit late, but better late than never.

Tom McKibbin and Rahm signed scorecards of 65 strokes, while Hatton completed his participation with 66.It’s been a wild ride. I’m grateful to Jon for trusting me to be on his team last year, and I’m very proud of the player I’ve become.

DeChambeau demonstrated his skill with a round of 62 strokes.Neither Tyrrell nor I had a great day today, and even throughout the week, I don’t think we played our best golf. But the youngsters were a sign of strength, playing well and also today. They took us to the end.

Casey and Anirban Lahiri recorded 65 strokes, while Charles Howell III closed with 68. Howell achieved birdies on five of the first seven holes, but then suffered three strokes. This team victory comes a week after Rahm successfully defended his LIV season points title in Indiana.He played incredible golf. His driver was on fire, and the putter worked.
