EA Sports has revealed the first ratings for the highly anticipated NHL 26, kicking off one of the most exciting phases for fans: the game’s release. This time, the ratings of the league’s most outstanding defensemen have been announced.

Top-Rated Defenders

Quinn Hughes of the Vancouver Canucks leads the list with an impressive 95 OVR rating. He stands out for his exceptional mobility and speed, which positions him as the strongest defenseman in the game and one of the top five highest-rated players overall. Very close to Hughes is Cale Makar of the Colorado Avalanche, also with 95 OVR. Although his Speed and Passing stats are slightly lower, this puts him in sixth place overall. Zach Werenski, Roman Josi, Victor Hedman, and Rasmus Dahlin, all with a 92 OVR rating, chase the leaders. Werenski and Josi manage to enter the overall top 20 of the game.
