DeChambeau Imposes His Game and Leads the Crushers to the LIV Golf League Final

In an exciting day of golf, Bryson DeChambeau demonstrated his skill by sinking an 8-foot birdie putt on the last hole on Saturday. This feat secured the victory for his team, the Crushers, and their pass to the final of the LIV Golf League, where they will face the team led by Jon Rahm and the Stinger from South Africa. Rahm, despite losing his individual match against Adrian Meronk, managed to get his team, Legion XIII, to advance to the semifinals. In this matchup, Legion XIII prevailed over the HyFlyers, with Phil Mickelson and his team winning the foursomes match. The Crushers team secured the necessary point thanks to the outstanding performance of Paul Casey and Charles Howell III, who achieved two birdies in the last three holes, ensuring a 2-up victory in foursomes. Brooks Koepka contributed the only point for the Smash team, after defeating Anirban Lahiri, which added pressure to DeChambeau, who was tied with Gooch until the decisive birdie. Legion XIII accumulated four team victories, while the Crushers achieved three, solidifying themselves as the number one and two teams in this year’s overall standings. In Sunday’s final, they will be joined by the Stinger team, which, despite its seventh-place position in the regular season standings, managed to overcome Sergio García’s team in the quarterfinals and Joaquín Niemann’s team, Torque, in the semifinals. The game format will change on Sunday, switching from match play, which consisted of two singles matches and a foursomes match, to stroke play, where the scores of the four players will be counted. The Crushers already know what it’s like to win the team title, as they achieved it two years ago.
