Rees-Zammit: "I felt like I was wasting my talent" in the NFL
Louis Rees-Zammit, the Welsh rugby star, has shared his feelings about his time in the NFL, where he felt that his talent was not being fully utilized. Recently, Rees-Zammit announced his return to rugby, after a period in the NFL International Player Pathway program, where he had opportunities with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now, the player prepares to return to Premiership Rugby with the Bristol Bears this season.

I felt like I was wasting my talent there, to be honest.

Louis Rees-Zammit
Rees-Zammit explained that, although he tried his best, opportunities in the NFL are limited for those who have not gone through the college system. The 24-year-old player feels confident that his rugby skills have not deteriorated and will focus on his physical preparation before the start of the season next month. Rees-Zammit highlighted that the main difference lies in the physical preparation required, as rugby demands greater endurance and conditioning compared to the NFL.
