The decisive set maintained the tension, with Alcaraz achieving a crucial break to go up 5-3. Although Rublev responded, Alcaraz kept calm and, taking advantage of his rival’s errors, secured the game and the match.
The next challenge for Alcaraz will be in the semifinals, where he will face the winner of the match between Alexander Zverev and Ben Shelton.
In the other bracket, Jannik Sinner has already secured his place in the semifinals and will face Terence Atmane.
