José Offerman Enters the Dominican Republic Sports Hall of Fame

Santo Domingo – The Dominican Sports Hall of Fame has announced the induction of José Offerman as a new member of the Immortal Class of 2025. The induction ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, November 16, as part of the 59th Induction Ceremony, which will be held at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center.

The selection of the former Major League player was made by the Permanent Hall Committee, as reported by Dr. Dionisio Guzmán, president and spokesperson for the entity. Offerman was chosen by the Dominican Professional Baseball League (Lidom) chapter, in recognition of his outstanding baseball career.

Offerman joins Gonzalo Mejía and the late Blessed Miguel Cruz as this year’s inductees. Mejía was recognized for his contribution to the development of tennis, while Cruz was honored for his contribution to volleyball.

Businessman Manuel Estrella will preside over the act of exaltation as honorary president of the ceremony.
