JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Travis Hunter is set for his two-way player debut this Saturday night. The Jacksonville Jaguars will host the Pittsburgh Steelers in the start of the preseason for both teams.Hunter will participate in both the receiver and cornerback positions against the Steelers. Head coach Liam Coen confirmed on Thursday that the Jaguars’ starters will also see action. The length of their participation will depend on the development of the game at EverBank Stadium.Coen mentioned that conversations with center Robert Hainsey and quarterback Trevor Lawrence influenced his decision. The only joint practice scheduled for August 21 in Miami was also a relevant factor.Hainsey asked me in the gym, ‘What are we doing?’ And I replied that I was still working on it. He said, ‘We want to play.’ Trevor too, and some other guys.Coen added that Lawrence called him the night before and they discussed the issue. He appreciated the communication and honesty of the players, highlighting their connection with the locker room.Hunter has been training in offense and defense three times this week, following his double-sided debut in the scrimmage last Friday at EverBank Stadium.
