Rahaman Ali, brother of boxing legend Muhammad Ali, dies
The boxing world mourns the loss of Rahaman Ali, younger brother of the iconic Muhammad Ali, who passed away at the age of 82. The Muhammad Ali Center reported that Rahaman passed away on Friday in Louisville, Kentucky. The cause of his death was not disclosed. Rahaman followed in his older brother’s footsteps in professional boxing, with a career that spanned from 1964 to 1972, accumulating a record of 14-3-1. After his retirement, Rahaman was often at Muhammad’s side, and even trained with him.
You cannot tell the story of Muhammad without mentioning Rahaman. He was one of the most constant sources of support for Muhammad during his career and their relationship was a true example of what it means to be the “guardian of my brother”.
