Dodgers Bolster Bullpen with Brock Stewart

Los Angeles Dodgers, with the aim of strengthening their right-handed relief corps, have finalized an agreement to acquire Brock Stewart from the Minnesota Twins. In the exchange, the Dodgers will send center fielder James Outman to the Twins. In addition, the Dodgers have also acquired outfielder Alex Call from the Washington Nationals. The Dodgers, who have been active in the trade market, are looking to add depth to their bullpen, and Stewart, who was originally drafted by the Dodgers, provides a valuable addition. The 33-year-old right-handed pitcher has had an outstanding season, with an ERA of 2.38, 41 strikeouts, and 11 walks in 34 innings. Stewart, who had time in the Major Leagues with the Dodgers between 2016 and 2019, returned to Los Angeles in 2020, and resurfaced as an effective reliever for the Twins in 2023. Outman, 28, was batting .108 with two home runs and four RBIs in 22 games for the Dodgers this season.
