Koundé Secures His Future with Barcelona: Contract Extension Until 2030
French defender Jules Koundé has reached an agreement to extend his contract with FC Barcelona until June 2030, as announced by the player himself this Wednesday. Koundé, whose current contract expired in June 2027, confirmed that the signing of the new agreement will be finalized shortly.
Koundé, 26, has established himself as an undisputed starter at right-back for Barcelona. Since his arrival from Sevilla in 2022, he has scored seven goals and provided 18 assists in 141 matches across all competitions. Last season, Koundé celebrated the league title, the Spanish Super Cup, and the Copa del Rey with the Catalan team.“Yes, it’s a matter of days. When we return, everything will be finalized, so I’m happy about that. It’s been quite fast, both the club and I had the same idea: to continue. I’m very happy here, I feel comfortable in the team and I am very motivated by the club’s ambition. Every year we fight for all the titles and I had no intention of leaving. My contract is until 2030”.
