Caitlin Clark Rookie Card Reaches Record Figure at Auction

A signed rookie card of Caitlin Clark fetched a price of $660,000 (including the buyer’s commission) at an auction on Thursday night, setting a new record for a female sports card. The 1 of 1, autographed card from the 2024 Panini Instant Rookie Royalty WNBA Flawless Platinum Caitlin Clark Logowoman series, was discovered live on the Whatnot online marketplace three weeks ago. Ungraded, but sealed and encapsulated by Panini, it went directly to auction on Fanatics Collect.

The previous record for a women’s sports card was $366,000 (including buyer’s premium) for a 2024 Clark Prizm WNBA Signatures Gold Vinyl Prizm card, sold in March. That card was also 1 of 1 and received perfect 10 grades on the card and autograph from Professional Sports Authenticator.

A signed rookie card of Caitlin Clark went straight to auction shortly after being discovered and sold for a record $660,000 for a women’s sports card. Another Clark card, also from Panini’s recent Rookie Royalty WNBA series, could challenge the new record. A 1-of-1 autographed Logowoman card of Clark is currently at $219,600 (with buyer’s premium) on Goldin Auctions and will enter an extended bidding on August 9. While Clark’s WNBA Rookie Royalty cards feature on-card autographs – Clark’s $366,000 Prizm card is a sticker autograph – with inscriptions, Logowoman patches are not game-worn nor player-worn. Clark hasn’t played since July 15 due to a right groin injury. On Thursday, the Indiana Fever reported that there is no timetable for her return.
