WrestleMania 41: An Unprecedented Success for WWE

WWE announced this Tuesday that WrestleMania 41 has become the most successful and highest-grossing event in the promotion’s history. According to a WWE statement, the annual event attracted a total of 124,693 fans over the two nights at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The main event of the first night saw Seth Rollins defeat Roman Reigns and CM Punk in a triple threat match. The second night was headlined by John Cena, who defeated the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, to win his 17th world championship, breaking records. The audience also increased for the premium live event, as WrestleMania 41 experienced a 114% increase over the record set at WrestleMania XL last year. The event was broadcast live in the United States via Peacock and was available to a global audience of over 700 million Netflix subscribers, thanks to the 10-year rights agreement signed with WWE in January 2025. WWE’s association with Fanatics also provided a major boost in merchandise sales on the site, with an increase of more than 45% compared to the previous record set by WrestleMania XL in 2024, making WrestleMania 41 the highest-grossing event of all time. Fanatics was also the driving force behind WWE World, a five-day interactive fan experience that drew over 50,000 attendees, a 21% increase from the previous year’s WrestleMania XL. WrestleMania 41 also became the most-viewed WWE event on social media of all time, with 1.1 billion views over the weekend, and WWE’s YouTube channel had its most-viewed day on Sunday. All of these increases are largely due to Endeavor’s acquisition of WWE in April 2023 and its merger with UFC into TKO Group Holdings in September 2023. Under the merger, WWE and UFC remained as separate divisions, marking the beginning of a new era for the promotion.
