Dominican Sports Hall of Fame Begins Electronic Voting for the Immortal Class of 2025

Santo Domingo – The Dominican Sports Hall of Fame has begun the electronic voting process to select the new members of the Immortal Class 2025. Voting began this Tuesday, July 22, and is aimed at sports journalists throughout the country. The announcement was made by Dr. Dionisio Guzmán, president of the Hall of Fame’s Permanent Committee. Guzmán explained that this process is crucial for the election of the athletes who will be inducted at the ceremony on Sunday, November 16th. Sports communicators will be responsible for choosing two personalities who will be immortalized in the 59th edition of the Hall of Fame. Sports reporters will have until August 24 to cast their votes.

As is tradition, the Pavilion initiates the electronic vote to offer the chroniclers of the entire country the opportunity to elect two future immortals, one in baseball and another in any discipline.

The ballots with the candidates are being distributed to the provincial guilds that group sports reporters, as well as individually. Doctor Guzman, on behalf of the Permanent Committee and the Veterans Committee of the Hall of Fame, thanked the sports communicators for their collaboration in this election process. So far, only the election of Gonzalo Mejía as the next immortal has been confirmed, in the category of promoter. Every year, two figures are exalted. The ceremony for the 59th edition of the Hall of Fame will take place on Sunday, November 16th, in the auditorium of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, starting at 10:00 a.m.
