Ukraine intensifies long-range attacks on strategic infrastructure in Russia
In a significant escalation of military operations, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, confirmed this Friday a series of precise attacks executed through the use of drones against critical facilities within Russian territory. These actions underscore the ability of Ukrainian forces to reach targets at distances previously considered beyond their operational reach.
Refineries under long-range attack
The focal point of the offensive was the city of Ukhta, in the Komi region of northwestern Russia, where a refinery was struck by drones. As detailed by the Ukrainian leader, this facility is located about 1,900 kilometers from the nearest border. For this mission, An-196 RS model drones were used, a technology designed to operate successfully at distances of up to 2,500 kilometers.
Likewise, Zelensky revealed that a similar operation was carried out last Thursday against a refinery located in the Omsk region. In this case, the target was located about 2,500 kilometers away from Ukrainian territory, being neutralized through the deployment of FP-6 drones.
These operations are part of a long-range attack strategy aimed at weakening the energy and logistical capabilities that support the Russian military industry.

In addition to oil facilities, Ukraine expanded its scope of action against other key sectors. The official report highlighted the following points:
- Impact on three additional infrastructures directly linked to the Russian military industry.
- Neutralization of a Pantsir S-1 air defense system located in the Krasnodar region.
- Attack against a data center belonging to the technology firm Yandex, marking the second incident of this type in the last two days.
With these actions, Ukraine reaffirms its determination to affect critical infrastructure deep within Russian territory, maintaining a strategy of technological confrontation that seeks to diminish Moscow’s response capacity on various fronts.
