Kelvin Cruz promotes sports in San Cristóbal with a new multi-purpose facility in Los Cacaos
The Minister of Sports, Kelvin Cruz, formally initiated the construction work for a modern sports complex in the municipality of Los Cacaos, San Cristóbal province. This infrastructure, which has an investment of approximately 25 million pesos, is part of the ambitious national sports facilities program that seeks to ensure that every district in the country has an adequate space for recreation and physical exercise.
During the event, the Minister of Sports highlighted that this project is not just a physical building, but a strategic commitment to the well-being and integral growth of Dominican youth. According to Cruz, sports are a fundamental pillar for social cohesion and community development.
Los Cacaos will have the multipurpose roof it deserves, and that is the policy of Luis Abinader’s Government. This space will be vital for sports practice, youth development, and civic coexistence, overcoming the climatic challenges of the mountainous area that prevented outdoor sports.
