Luis Abinader demands depth in investigations into alleged irregularities at SeNaSa
During a workday held this Friday in the province of Puerto Plata, President Luis Abinader referred to the ongoing investigations into the SeNaSa 2.0 case. The president was emphatic in stating that he expects the process to reach its final consequences and that anyone involved in illicit acts must answer before the courts.
The head of state reiterated his position regarding transparency and accountability, stressing that this process must set a precedent for public administration in the country.

Current status of the investigations
The president’s statements are framed within the investigations being carried out by the Public Prosecutor’s Office following the report submitted by the Executive Branch, which detailed alleged irregularities detected in the National Health Insurance (SeNaSa). According to the leader, it is the exclusive responsibility of the judicial authorities to delve into the facts and determine the individual responsibilities of those involved.
In that sense, Abinader specified that, since the file is in the hands of the justice system, it is up to that body to present the necessary evidentiary elements to support any formal accusation before the competent courts.
Work agenda in Puerto Plata
The statement was made while the president was fulfilling a busy official agenda in the “Bride of the Atlantic.” These activities included:
- Inauguration of various infrastructure works.
- Delivery of property titles to citizens of the province.
- Supervision of local development projects.
With these actions, the Government reaffirms its commitment to the management of social impact projects, while maintaining its stance of non-interference in judicial processes that seek to clarify the handling of public funds in key institutions such as SeNaSa.
