The province of Barahona has established itself as one of the most active and successful points in the national deployment of the Dominicanos Primero movement. According to the organization’s official records, this demarcation has achieved an impressive 190% compliance in its signature collection process, far exceeding initial expectations.
Current data indicates that Barahona has managed to collect approximately 3,400 signatures, a figure that almost doubles the original goal set at 1,800 endorsements. This result positions the southern province as a benchmark for mobilization within the political platform.
The outlook in the Southern region and the rest of the country
Barahona’s success adds to a positive trend in the Southern region, where other provinces have also managed to exceed their targets. Pedernales stands out with 163% compliance, while San Juan records 127%, demonstrating a solid receptivity in this area of the country.
Nationally, the progress map of Dominicanos Primero reflects significant growth in various provinces, where citizen commitment has allowed for the achievement of extraordinary figures:
- Monseñor Nouel: 256%
- Santiago: 235%
- La Altagracia: 224%
- La Vega: 205%
- María Trinidad Sánchez: 195%
- El Seibo: 188%
- Monte Cristi and Hermanas Mirabal: 185%
- Samaná: 177%
