Young man reported missing found safe and sound in Las Terrenas
Agents of the National Police, in conjunction with members of the Central Directorate of Investigation (DICRIM), managed to locate in the municipality of Las Terrenas, Samaná province, a young man who had been reported missing by his relatives in Santo Domingo.
The citizen identified as Ángel Miguel De La Cruz Vásquez, 22 years of age, had been actively sought since last Monday, September 7, 2026, the date on which his trail was lost in the vicinity of Plaza Carrefour, in the Dominican capital.
Findings details
The location operation was possible thanks to citizen collaboration. A person alerted the authorities after identifying an individual whose physical characteristics fully matched those disseminated in the search alert, allowing the officers to act immediately.
After being located and interviewed by investigators, De La Cruz Vásquez stated that he was in good condition and explained that his absence was due to personal matters related to work activities, which he carried out of his own free will as an adult.

Once the young man’s physical integrity was confirmed, police agencies proceeded with the corresponding protocols to notify his relatives of his whereabouts, thus closing the search process initiated after the complaint filed in Santo Domingo.
