Tragedy at CCR La Isleta: Inmate loses his life after violent brawl in Moca
A regrettable event has shaken the La Isleta Correction and Rehabilitation Center (CCR), located in the Espaillat province. The inmate identified as Isaac Gabriel Jiménez Gutiérrez lost his life after being involved in a violent confrontation within the prison facility, where he received multiple stab wounds that caused his death.
The passing was confirmed by judicial authorities. Prosecutor Gabriel Pereira, in charge of the case, reported that the Public Prosecutor’s Office has launched the necessary investigations to determine the exact circumstances under which the altercation occurred and the criminal responsibilities derived from it.
