Samuel Abreu projects Hipólito Mejía as a possible advisor for a Raquel Peña candidacy
The national coordinator of the External Sector with Raquel Peña, Samuel Abreu, analyzed the internal political landscape of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) and the role that former President Hipólito Mejía would play in the electoral future. According to Abreu, although the former president currently supports his daughter, the mayor of the National District Carolina Mejía, there is a high probability that he will end up joining as an advisor to a potential presidential campaign for the current vice president, Raquel Peña.

Regarding the vice president’s absence from campaign activities, Abreu clarified that her stance has been one of prudence and respect toward the figure of President Luis Abinader, as well as the regulations established by the Central Electoral Board and the internal guidelines of the PRM. Despite this pause, the leader confirmed that the political strategy has not stopped.
