Gigantes del Cibao bolster their rotation with the arrival of lefty Adam Seminaris
With the goal of consolidating their pitching staff for the upcoming 2026-27 season of the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), the Gigantes del Cibao have officially announced the signing of left-handed pitcher Adam Seminaris as part of their group of imported players.
Seminaris, 27 years old and belonging to the Philadelphia Phillies organization, joins the San Francisco de Macorís team after completing an outstanding performance at the Double-A level with the Reading Fightin Phils. His consistency on the mound has been one of his most solid calling cards during the recent campaign.

The left-handed pitcher has posted numbers that generate positive expectations for the Cibao team’s management. During his activity in the 2026 season, Seminaris recorded the following indicators:
- 11-8 win-loss record.
- 3.86 ERA in 24 starts.
- A total of 151 strikeouts in 128.1 innings pitched.
- A 1.18 WHIP, reflecting his dominance over opposing batters.

Throughout his minor league career, the Giants’ new reinforcement has proven to be a reliable arm, accumulating 602 strikeouts in 575.1 innings of work, with a record of 34 wins and a 4.29 ERA in 133 games played, of which he has started 111 as a starter.
The Gigantes del Cibao management has confirmed that the team will begin its official schedule next Friday, October 16. On that date, they will host the Águilas Cibaeñas at the Julián Javier Stadium in San Francisco de Macorís, in a duel scheduled for 7:00 p.m., where the pitching staff is expected to show its new depth with additions such as Seminaris.
