The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic has released the reference values for the euro corresponding to this Wednesday, September 2nd. The foreign exchange market begins the ninth month of the year exhibiting notable stability in its daily quotes, maintaining a dynamic consistent with the close of last August.

According to the daily survey conducted by the entity, the behavior of the European currency in the national financial system is distributed as follows:

  • Financial Entities: The recorded average stands at RD$66.01 for purchase and RD$70.29 for sale.
  • Remittance and Exchange Agents: Reported counter rates with an average of RD$67.22 for purchase and RD$68.88 for sale.

Euro trend against the Dominican peso

Despite the calm shown by the market in the short term, medium and long-term indicators point to a different outlook for the European currency. According to the analyzed data, the euro maintains a marked downward trend against the local currency.

The financial analysis reveals that the European currency has accumulated a decline of up to 9.80% compared to the values recorded at the close of the previous year.
