Facilitating access to the US Open for New York residents
The US Open tennis tournament, one of the most prestigious sporting events in the world, will be more accessible to New York residents this year. Thanks to an initiative driven by local authorities and the United States Tennis Association (USTA), 1,000 tickets have been made available to the public at a special price of 100 dollars each.
This initiative seeks to democratize access to elite sports, allowing New Yorkers to enjoy the great figures of world tennis without the economic barriers that market prices usually impose during the tournament.
Ticket acquisition details
- Sale date: Starting Wednesday, August 26 at 10:00 a.m. (local time).
- Limit: A maximum of two tickets per person.
- Access: Tickets cover main draw matches scheduled between August 30 and September 8.
- Venues: Tickets provide access to Arthur Ashe Stadium and Louis Armstrong Stadium, allowing you to watch singles and doubles matches.
- Methodology: The sale will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

On that occasion, raffles for tickets at reduced prices and free transport services were enabled to facilitate fan attendance.
