Punta Bergantín consolidates its success: more than 60% of its residences sold
The ambitious tourism and real estate project Punta Bergantín has reached a significant milestone in its development, achieving the sale of more than 60% of its residential units. This progress reaffirms the strong interest from local and foreign investors in this new tourism hub located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, specifically in Montellano, Puerto Plata.
The news was confirmed during the official launch of the Hacienda Serena villas and the Velavento residential complex, events where the magnitude of this project, which spans a vast area of 10 million square meters, was highlighted.
New strategic steps for investors
With the goal of facilitating access to detailed information and offering a personalized experience to interested parties, Punta Bergantín inaugurated its new Welcome Center. This space is designed to directly showcase the project’s infrastructure, its value proposition, and long-term growth projections.
The pace of commercialization achieved to date demonstrates the strategic potential of Puerto Plata to attract new high-level tourism and real estate investments.

The event was attended by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, who took the opportunity to reflect on the resilience of the Dominican tourism sector in the face of the global challenges of recent years, highlighting the fundamental role that Punta Bergantín plays in the country’s development vision.
Infrastructure and future vision
A key element that enhances the appeal of this complex is the future construction of the Ámbar highway. This communication route will be vital for connecting Santiago with Puerto Plata, significantly reducing travel times and consolidating Punta Bergantín as a strategic hub between both provinces.
- Comprehensive development: The project includes a golf course, urban center, commercial areas, cultural spaces, and entertainment zones.
- Economic engine: It is positioned as one of the most important real estate ventures for the province of Puerto Plata.
- Financial support: Local banking entities have already announced financing facilities to encourage new investors.
Punta Bergantín is now transitioning from the phase of expectation to that of realization, consolidating itself as a modern benchmark that seeks to attract both owners looking for quality of life and investors interested in the sustained growth of tourism in the Caribbean.
