INABIE strengthens education in Jarabacoa with massive delivery of school supplies
The National Institute of Student Welfare (INABIE) reaffirmed its commitment to the educational community of Jarabacoa, in the province of La Vega, by delivering 8,215 school supply kits. This initiative benefits an equal number of students belonging to 61 educational centers in the area, ensuring they have the essential materials to face the 2026-2027 school year.
During the delivery ceremony, the institution’s deputy director, Luis Valdez, highlighted the importance of this logistical deployment that seeks to cover the basic needs of students in the national public system.
It is very important to us that every student is ready and has everything necessary for this new school year. That is why we make an effort to reach every corner of the country with backpacks, uniforms, shoes, and other items, so that they do not lack anything. With this, we reaffirm our commitment to work for the well-being of all students in the public education system.

A positive impact for thousands of Dominican families
This day in Jarabacoa is just a sample of the national reach of the program promoted by the Government. According to official data, the plan aims to positively impact more than 1.4 million families throughout the Dominican territory, covering a total of 6,577 public educational centers.
Distribution logistics are coordinated through the country’s 122 school districts, facilitating the receipt of materials by school principals for subsequent delivery to students. This support represents significant economic relief for households during a period of high financial demand.
