LaLiga Calendar: Barcelona and Real Madrid already know their key dates
The start of the LaLiga season already has defined dates, and both Barcelona and Real Madrid already know their first challenges. The Spanish Football Federation has announced the details, generating great expectation among fans.
Barcelona, the current champion, will begin its title defense away from home, facing Mallorca on the weekend of August 16th and 17th. Due to the remodeling works of Camp Nou, Hansi Flick’s team will play their first three league matches as visitors.
The first Clásico of the season, between Barcelona and Real Madrid, is scheduled for October 26. Real Madrid, runner-up last season, will start the league at home against Osasuna. The merengue team, now under the direction of Xabi Alonso, will host the first Clásico at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.
Both teams will meet again on matchday 35, May 10, 2026, at the renovated Camp Nou.
Real Madrid will face Atletico Madrid on September 28, with the return match on March 22, 2026.
The end of the season is scheduled for May 24, 2026.
