Kupcho and Maguire Lead Dow Championship with Impressive Performance
In an exceptional display of play, Jennifer Kupcho and Leona Maguire positioned themselves at the top of the Dow Championship, the only team event on the LPGA Tour. With a remarkable round of 60 strokes, ten under par, in the better-ball format, the Solheim Cup rivals demonstrated their skill and determination. The duo accumulated a total of 127 strokes, thirteen under par, at the Midland Country Club. This result adds to their initial performance of 67 strokes in the alternate-shot format on Thursday.Cassie Porter and Gemma Dryburgh, who led the first round, are one stroke away after completing a round of 62. The tournament will continue with the alternate-shot format and will end with another round of better-ball.The plan today was to give ourselves as many opportunities as we could, try to have two opportunities on each hole. For the most part, we achieved that. It was nice to start with a birdie and a kind of eagle very early to get the ball rolling.

Other notable teams include Sarah Schmelzel-Albane Valenzuela and Manon De Roey-Pauline Roussin-Bouchard, as well as Yan Liu-Yahui Zhang, all with a performance of 11 under par. There’s still a lot of golf to play. I think just staying where we are and continuing to do the best we can.
