Chelsea are close to an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for winger Jamie Gittens, following talks between representatives of both clubs in the United States during the Club World Cup, according to sources.Chelsea had two bids rejected for the 20-year-old player earlier this month, during the short transfer window created to help teams improve their squads before the competition expanded to 32 teams.Sources indicate that Dortmund is still asking for a fee exceeding 50 million pounds sterling (68 million dollars) for Gittens, but new negotiations have taken place, with Chelsea prioritizing the signing of a right-winger who can play on the left.Gittens scored 12 goals in 48 matches across all competitions last season, including four in the Champions League.Chelsea qualified for the round of 16 of the Club World Cup on Tuesday after a 3-0 victory over Esperance de Tunis, in which Liam Delap scored his first goal for the club.
