Knicks One Step Away from NBA Finals After Defeating Cavaliers
CLEVELAND – The New York Knicks are one win away from playing in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999, after defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers with a score of 121-108 this Saturday in the third game of the Eastern Conference Finals.
With this victory, the Knicks take a 3-0 lead in the series, a situation that no team has managed to reverse in the history of the NBA playoffs.
Jalen Brunson led the Knicks’ offense with 30 points, demonstrating his ability to score in crucial moments. OG Anunoby contributed 21 points, consolidating the good collective moment of the New York team.
The Knicks have extended their winning streak to ten consecutive games this postseason, showcasing a dominant performance on the court.
Karl-Anthony Towns, the Dominican-American player, also played a prominent role with 13 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists, contributing significantly to offensive creation and ball movement.
On the Cavaliers’ side, Donovan Mitchell scored 23 points, while James Harden added 19. However, the Cavaliers struggled with their three-point shooting efficiency, which prevented them from taking control of the game.
The fourth game of the series will be played this Monday again in Cleveland, where the Cavaliers will seek to avoid elimination.
