The renowned former driver, known for his popularity in the sport, led the young Connor Zilisch, 18, to victory in the Xfinity Series race at Pocono Raceway.Earnhardt, who has been awarded NASCAR’s most popular driver 15 times, assumed the role of crew chief due to Mardy Lindley’s suspension for a violation.
“We had a lot of fun today. I missed the excitement of the competition. I love broadcasting, don’t get me wrong. But nothing compares to driving or just being part of the team. Being an owner doesn’t really offer this. This is a lot of fun”.
