LIDOM Praises the Performance of the Dominican Republic Team in the World Baseball Classic

Santo Domingo – The Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) has expressed its recognition of the national team’s performance during its participation in the World Baseball Classic. The entity highlighted the patriotism, dedication, and commitment demonstrated by the players who represented the country in the tournament. LIDOM highlighted the team’s joint effort, which demonstrated a strong sense of national identity and an authentic connection with the Dominican people, who provided unconditional support to their selection throughout the event. Furthermore, LIDOM recognized the work of the Dominican Baseball Federation (FEDOM), led by Juan Núñez Nepomuceno, whose management was crucial for the formation of a competitive team. The leadership of general manager Nelson Cruz and manager Albert Pujols was also highlighted, who managed to unify a group of elite players with the aim of worthily representing the Dominican Republic. The league valued the integration of high-level former players and figures from Major Leagues, who contributed experience, leadership, and a strong sense of belonging to the national team. Likewise, the institutional and media support that accompanied the selection was highlighted, as well as the support of President Luis Abinader and ministers Kelvin Cruz and David Collado, along with other entities committed to the development of sport.
