Domen Prevc Crowned Olympic Champion in Ski Jumping
Predazzo, Italy – Slovenian Domen Prevc, meeting expectations, won the gold medal in the individual large hill ski jumping event at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, held this Saturday in Predazzo.
Prevc, 26 years old and current World Cup leader, demonstrated his superiority in the final. After a notable second position in the first round, he executed an impressive 141.5-meter jump in the second round, accumulating a total of 301.8 points to secure the victory.
Japanese Ren Nikaido won the silver medal with 295.0 points, followed by the Polish Kacper Tomasiak, who obtained the bronze with 291.2 units.
This individual triumph represents the first Olympic gold for Prevc in this edition in an individual event, adding to the title previously obtained in the mixed team competition along with his sister Nika.
Domen Prevc’s performance in Predazzo confirms his excellent season and positions him as one of the top exponents of ski jumping worldwide, generating high expectations for his country in the remainder of the competition.
