WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027
For the first time in its history, WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will be held outside of North America. The city of Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia, will host the 2027 edition, as part of the “Riyadh Season”, according to WWE’s announcement on Friday.
Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been held in North American cities. The idea of taking the event international had been hinted at by Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Creative Officer, and is now materializing.The official announcement comes a few days after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned the arrival of WrestleMania to Saudi Arabia in a live Snapchat video that was later deleted.This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans from all over.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, thanks to a billion-dollar deal that will extend for ten years. Next year’s Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE’s “Big Four” events in Saudi Arabia. WrestleMania 42 will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026. It will be the second consecutive time that Las Vegas hosts the event.WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE.
