Stephanie McMahon Headlines the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026

In a surprise that resonated throughout the wrestling world, Stephanie McMahon has been announced as the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2026.

The announcement, made during the WrestlePalooza broadcast on Saturday, took McMahon by surprise, who was honored by The Undertaker, a WWE Hall of Famer.

The Undertaker, in his iconic “American Badass” persona, made a special appearance, arriving at the ring on his motorcycle. There, in front of McMahon, he communicated the news to him.

The daughter of former WWE president Vince McMahon had a multifaceted career in the company from 1998 to 2023.

She started as an account executive and receptionist in 1998, and soon made her on-screen debut in 1999, involved in the rivalry between Vince McMahon and The Undertaker.

In addition to fighting and winning the WWF Women’s Championship in 2000, she also played important roles behind the scenes, including director, senior vice president of creative writing, executive vice president of creative development and operations, and brand director.

McMahon continued making regular appearances and participated in prominent storylines. One of these storylines became reality when she married professional wrestler Paul “Triple H” Levesque in 2003.

In 2019, his appearances became less frequent as his behind-the-scenes role grew.

She was appointed interim president and CEO following an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against her father. She resigned from the position in 2023, but has continued to make sporadic appearances for the company, although she no longer holds an official position.

The 2026 Hall of Fame ceremony is scheduled to be held during WrestleMania weekend in Las Vegas, in April.
