John Cena to Headline WWE Premium Event in Indianapolis
The legendary wrestler John Cena will lead a WWE Premium Live Event next month in Indianapolis, which will be broadcast through ESPN’s direct-to-consumer service. Cena will share the ring with prominent figures such as Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, CM Punk, and Drew McIntyre at WWE’s inaugural Wrestlepalooza, scheduled for Saturday, September 20th. The event will begin at 7 p.m. ET at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Cody Rhodes, the current undisputed WWE champion, Seth Rollins, world heavyweight champion, and Becky Lynch, intercontinental women’s champion, will also be part of the event. This match will mark Cena’s last appearance in Indianapolis. The event is part of the new five-year agreement between WWE and ESPN, which will bring Premium Live events to ESPN platforms. ESPN’s direct-to-consumer service will premiere on Thursday, and subscribers to the unlimited plan will have access to all WWE Premium Live events as part of their package.Indianapolis hosted the 2025 Royal Rumble, setting an attendance record for the event at the nearby Lucas Oil Stadium. Tickets for the event will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. ET. Presales will be available on Thursday.
