Chicago will host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026

The city of Chicago is preparing to host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026, the league announced on Thursday. The event will take place at the United Center on Saturday, July 25th. This will be the second time Chicago hosts the prestigious event. The first time was in 2022, but on that occasion it was held at the Wintrust Arena, the main home of the Chicago Sky of the WNBA. The Sky have also played some regular season games at the United Center, including one in 2025. The United Center, home to the NBA’s Bulls and the NHL’s Blackhawks, has a larger capacity, approximately 20,900 spectators for basketball, compared to 10,380 at the Wintrust Arena. Despite this, Wintrust Arena will still be part of the All-Star festivities, as it will be the venue for the three-point contest and the skills challenge, scheduled for July 24. WNBA Live, the interactive festival for league fans, will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago during the All-Star weekend.

This will be the second consecutive All-Star Game in the Midwest for the WNBA. Indiana hosted the event for the first time earlier this year.
