Chicago will host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026
The city of Chicago is preparing to host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026, the league announced on Thursday. The event will take place at the United Center on Saturday, July 25th. This will be the second time Chicago hosts the prestigious event. Previously, the city was the venue in 2022, although on that occasion the game was played at the Wintrust Arena, the main home of the Chicago Sky. The United Center, home to the NBA’s Bulls and the NHL’s Blackhawks, offers a much larger capacity, with approximately 20,900 seats for basketball, compared to the 10,380 of the Wintrust Arena. The Sky have played some regular season games at the United Center, including in 2025. Although the United Center will be the main stage, the Wintrust Arena will remain part of the All-Star festivities, as it will host the three-point contest and the skills challenge, scheduled for July 24. In addition, WNBA Live, the interactive festival for the league’s fans, will take place at McCormick Place in Chicago during All-Star weekend.This will be the second consecutive All-Star Game in the Midwest for the WNBA. Indiana hosted the event for the first time this year. The Chicago Sky are thrilled to welcome the 2026 WNBA All-Star game back to Chicago.
