Chicago will host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026

The city of Chicago is preparing to host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026, the league announced on Thursday. The event will take place at the United Center on Saturday, July 25th. This will be the second time Chicago hosts the game, having done so previously in 2022, although on that occasion the venue was the Wintrust Arena, the main home of the WNBA’s Chicago Sky. The Sky have also played some regular season games at the United Center, including one in 2025. The United Center, home to the NBA’s Bulls and the NHL’s Blackhawks, has a larger capacity, approximately 20,900 spectators for basketball, compared to 10,380 at Wintrust. Despite this, the Wintrust Arena will still be involved in the All-Star festivities, as it will be the venue for the three-point contest and the skills challenge on July 24. WNBA Live, the interactive festival for the league’s fans, will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago during All-Star weekend.

The WNBA is thrilled to bring the AT&T WNBA All-Star back to Chicago, which will undoubtedly offer unforgettable competition and community activities. Together with the Chicago Sky, we look forward to celebrating the brightest stars of the game, engaging WNBA fans from around the world, and showcasing the energy of one of the most iconic basketball cities.

This will be the second consecutive All-Star Game in the Midwest for the WNBA, after Indiana hosted the event for the first time this year.

The Chicago Sky are thrilled to welcome the 2026 WNBA All-Star game back to Chicago. We are eager to build on the success of the previous All-Star game and celebrate the explosive growth of the league, showcasing the biggest stars of the WNBA on a world-class stage.
