The basketball star, Caitlin Clark, is preparing for a return to action, but this time on the golf course. After a season marked by injuries in the WNBA, Clark will participate in the pro-am next month at The Annika, an LPGA Tour event.
The pro-am will take place on November 12th at the Pelican Golf Club and will be open to the public. In its first participation last year, Clark generated great expectation and attracted a considerable crowd, right after her debut season in the WNBA, where she was named Rookie of the Year. The Annika is the penultimate tournament on the LPGA schedule. Clark maintains a corporate relationship with Gainbridge Insurance, the main sponsor of the event. The second season of Clark in the WNBA was affected by injuries, limiting her to playing only 13 games. She was ruled out for the rest of the season on September 4 due to a groin injury. Despite this, Clark’s team, the Indiana Fever, managed to reach the playoffs, although they were eliminated in the semifinals by the Las Vegas Aces.I had an incredible time at The Annika last November and participating in the pro-am alongside Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam, two of the best in the game.
