Caitlin Clark Misses WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Final

The Indiana Fever star, Caitlin Clark, will not participate in the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup championship game on Tuesday night.

Clark, who has been dealing with a groin injury, was initially listed as questionable for the game against the Minnesota Lynx at the Target Center. However, she was not on the court during the media-open practice time on Tuesday, and the team later confirmed her absence.

This will be the third consecutive time Clark misses a game due to the groin injury. Previously, he missed five games earlier this season due to a quadriceps injury.

On Monday, coach Stephanie White reported that Clark did non-contact drills in practice in Indiana. In addition, Clark was the most voted player by the fans and was named a starter and captain of the All-Star on Monday. The All-Star Game will take place on July 19 in Indianapolis.

The Lynx, with a 14-2 record, lead the WNBA and are the current Commissioner’s Cup champions. The Fever, with an 8-8 record, will play for the Cup for the first time since the championship event began in 2021.

The winning team from Tuesday will receive a prize of $500,000.
