Clark referenced a comment on Instagram where he wrote “The referees couldn’t stop us”.
Clark, who was ruled out for the season due to an injury on September 4, drew attention to the matter during the Fever’s practice on Saturday, shouting to reporters from across the gym: “Hey everyone, go see my tweet!”. Fever teammate Sophie Cunningham also spoke out about it on X, with an ironic tone.

That will really break the bank.

The conversation about officiating was a significant topic during the first-round series between the Fever and the Dream. At least 36 fouls were called in each game, including 43 in Game 1. The Fever finally defeated Atlanta thanks to a comeback victory by 87-85 in the decisive Game 3, with Aliyah Boston scoring the basket that gave them the lead with 7.4 seconds remaining in the game. The Fever will face the Las Vegas Aces in the next round. Aces coach Becky Hammon commented on the Fever-Dream series.

It was a football game. There were bodies flying all the time. Frankly, that turned basketball into something very ugly and I think it’s something the league needs to analyze.

Clark, Cunningham, and three other Fever players have had to watch the playoffs from the bench after suffering injuries that prevented them from playing the rest of the season, while Damiris Dantas was also out during the first round due to a concussion. Her status for the semifinals is uncertain. Clark also said on X.

THE BANK WILL BE EVEN NOISIER TOMORROW LET’S GO!
