Iga Swiatek Advances Dominantly at the National Bank Open

Wimbledon champion Iga Swiatek demonstrated her dominance at the National Bank Open, securing her place in the third round after defeating China’s Guo Hanyu. Swiatek, who hadn’t played since her victory in the Wimbledon final against Amanda Anisimova, where she achieved a score of 6-0, 6-0, started the match with a 4-0 lead, extending her winning streak to 24 games.

I think I played a very solid match today. Playing the first match on hard court after a rather long break on the surface is always tricky, so I’m happy that I focused on myself, adapted to the conditions, and played well.
