Tennis player Naomi Osaka, winner of four Grand Slam titles, has won her first WTA title since her victory at the 2021 Australian Open. The feat came after defeating Slovenian Kaja Juvan in the final of the L’Open 35 de Saint-Malo tournament, a WTA 125 event, with a score of 6-1 and 7-5.
This triumph represents the first WTA title for the 27-year-old Japanese player since she became a mother in July 2023.
Osaka celebrated her victory, the first on clay, through social media.

Last year, Osaka faced challenges in terms of power and accuracy, which prevented her from advancing beyond the second round in any Grand Slam.
The former world number one, who reached the third round at the Australian Open in January, is scheduled to participate in the main draw of the French Open later this month.
As a result of this victory, Osaka will rise to number 48 in the WTA ranking next Monday.
