Draper vs Djokovic at Indian Wells: Stellar Duel After Victory
Jack Draper continues his impressive return to tennis after overcoming an arm injury. The British tennis player defeated Francisco Cerundolo with scores of 6-1 and 7-5, which secures him a match in the next round against Novak Djokovic at Indian Wells. Draper, who has been off the courts for eight months, demonstrated his ability to recover and determination. His victory over Cerundolo marks the first time he has won consecutive matches in the same tournament since last June.

I’m getting to the point where I can play without pain in my arm, so it’s not easy to feel really confident. Obviously I’ve been playing a bit, but I have to accept that my tennis won’t be completely at its best for a while.

The British tennis player had a dominant performance in the first set, but faced challenges in the second, where Cerundolo tried to level the score. Draper knew how to stay calm and took advantage of key moments to secure the victory. Djokovic, for his part, advanced to the fourth round after a close victory over Aleksandar Kovacevic with a score of 6-4, 1-6 and 6-4. Draper prepares for an expected match against the world number one.

I’ve been watching him since I was a kid and, in my opinion, he’s the best player of all time.

In the women’s bracket, Sonay Kartal maintained British interest by coming back to defeat Madison Keys. Kartal will face Elena Rybakina in the next round. Iga Swiatek and Elena Svitolina also advanced in the tournament, consolidating their position in the competition.
