Djokovic Reaches 100 Wins at Roland Garros
Paris – Novak Djokovic secured his 100th victory at the French Open, a mark surpassed among men only by Rafael Nadal, by defeating Cam Norrie with a score of 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 in the fourth round on Monday.Djokovic hasn’t conceded a set on his way to the quarterfinals this year at Roland-Garros, where he has won three of his 24 Grand Slam titles.
The 38-year-old Serbian tennis player had a couple of streaks of three losses this season, but seems to be in top form lately, including obtaining his 100th title at the Geneva Open the week before the start of the tournament in Paris.
Djokovic’s next challenge is a match against third seed Alexander Zverev on Wednesday for a place in the semi-finals.
Djokovic improved his record to 100-16 at the French Open. Nadal, who retired at the end of last season, had a record of 112-4, winning a record 14 championships at the clay court tournament.
