Alcaraz and Sinner Could Face Each Other Again in the Davis Cup
US Open champion Carlos Alcaraz could face Italian Jannik Sinner in another final, after their countries were drawn in opposite halves of the draw in the final phase of the Davis Cup.
Spain will face the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals, with the possibility of playing against Germany or Argentina. For their part, Italy, the current champion, will play against Austria.
France and Belgium complete the quarter-final picture, seeking a place in the semi-finals.
Alcaraz defeated Sinner 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 earlier this month, earning his second US Open title, his sixth Grand Slam trophy overall, and reclaiming the number 1 ranking.
The final phase of the Davis Cup will be played in Bologna, Italy, from November 18 to 23.
