Lorena Ochoa gives golf clinic at the iconic Teeth of the Dog LA ROMANA, Dominican Republic. – World golf legend, Lorena Ochoa, visited the legendary Teeth of the Dog course at Casa de Campo, marking a milestone in the sports tourism strategy led by the Ministry of Tourism under the management of David Collado. The former world number one shared her vast technical and mental experience with local enthusiasts, reaffirming the country's commitment to positioning itself as an elite destination for international golf. During her stay, the Mexican golfer not only offered practical tips on swing and posture, but also gave the lecture "The Winning Mindset," inspiring entrepreneurs and athletes about the discipline and perseverance that led her to dominate the LPGA Tour for 158 consecutive weeks. This initiative, supported by Casa de Campo and Central Romana, highlights the Dominican Republic's ability to host high-profile events. For Minister Collado, having a figure of Ochoa's stature —a Hall of Fame member— is vital to diversifying the national tourism offering, transcending sun and beach to connect with the global high-level sports market. The presence of the Mexican golfer at the iconic Pete Dye design underscores the quality of the Dominican facilities, consolidating the country as a privileged setting that combines hospitality, luxury, and world-class sports competition.
