Wright expressed that some feel “scared” by Bellingham’s success, highlighting his ability and the inspiration he can generate. Bellingham, who was reinstated to the national team for the matches against Serbia and Albania, had been excluded in October.
The former English striker pointed out that the negative reaction towards Bellingham could be related to his personality and his way of playing, something that is not always well received. Wright revealed that he sent a message to Bellingham before he joined the team, warning him about what was to come. He told him to “be ready” because something was coming.
