Vinícius Júnior is about to close a new contract with Real Madrid, according to sources close to Alofoke Deportes. The agreement would extend his stay at the club until the year 2030.

A meeting between the player’s representatives and Madrid’s board of directors took place this week. The figures requested by the player and those offered by the club are now very close.

Vinícius is expected to earn 20 million euros (22.5 million dollars) per season after taxes, a figure that could rise to 30 million euros (33.8 million dollars) including bonuses.

This agreement would make him the highest-paid player in the club.

Vinícius’ current contract, expiring in June 2027, was agreed upon in 2022 and made official a year later.

Vinícius Júnior podría convertirse en el jugador mejor pagado del Real Madrid con su nuevo contrato.

Since then, Vinícius has been recognized as one of the best players in the world, winning the FIFA The Best award last year and finishing second in the Ballon d’Or.

The player considered a lucrative offer from the Saudi Pro League last summer, postponing a decision on his future until this year.

However, a possible transfer to Saudi Arabia is increasingly unlikely, with no new contacts since December and with ongoing negotiations for a new contract with Madrid.

The structure of the new contract, with an emphasis on bonuses, allows the club to get closer to the salary Vinícius had requested, without distorting its salary structure too much, similar to the approach used to sign Kylian Mbappé last summer.

Vinícius joined Madrid as a teenager in 2018 and since then has won three LaLiga titles and two Champions League titles, scoring in both finals.

Although he has received some criticism for his performances this season, he has scored 11 goals in 28 league games, as well as eight goals in 12 Champions League appearances.
